As we step into Summer, there is buzzing anticipation of hot, balmy days and excitement for summer vacations. Plascon has created its latest Summer colour palette – High Frequency – to encapsulate this optimistic energy. Plascon’s High Frequency emulates a refreshing poolside sip of lemonade on a hot day with its vibrant and zesty colours. The energetic colours of the Summer palette will work for both individual and group needs, in any space or place. The power of colour does not always lie in specific hues, but rather in how they are used to evoke responses. A mixture of playful and bouncy colours and balanced, cooler neutrals, this new palette strikes the balance between bringing increased energy levels and excitement without overpowering the senses. Plascon Lime Miss (Y6-A1-2) is the key colour in this palette. A fresh lime green, this bright and juicy hue is equal parts vitality, growth and new beginnings. It also nods to nature, with South African summers being synonymous with days spent outdoors. Plascon Monet Magic (B3-A1-1) is a bright and powerful shade of blue that offers a complementary depth to the brightness of Plascon Lime Miss (Y6-A1-2). Send bolts of energy into your home with [...]

ALC’s Spring Summer 2018 collection embodies the sense of nostalgia felt by Amanda when she is near the ocean; “Swimming in the sea and floating on my back just beyond the break, looking up at the sky and experiencing the changes and repeated pattern of the rhythms of the waves…” This feeling shines through in the serenity of ALC’s colour palette, which comprises of naturals, whites, black, navy, as well as shades of green and blue. This vividness is highlighted by the sweeping texture in our signature print. ALC wanted there to be visible movement as the garments are worn and lived in. They have predominantly used linens, cottons and rayons, with the addition of Shweshwe, checks, stripes, chambrays and dobby cottons. The garment details are minimal, considered and functional. The silhouettes are expressive, soft and voluminous, and the styling is layered yet retains a level of simplicity and sophistication. The collection was presented at South African Fashion Week on 11 April 2018 in Johannesburg, and will be available to shop online and at The Space stores later this year FOLLOW ALC Instagram: @alc_woman & @alc_man Facebook: alcwoman & ALC.MENSWEAR #AmandaLairdCherry #ALCman STOCKISTS The Space & Space [...]
