Popular Cape Town restaurant The Yard at Silo is well-known for its bold take on Asian and European cuisines. Soon restaurant-goers will be treated to a choice of new meals, also with a Euro-Asian twist, courtesy of The Yard’s brunch menu! From March 2018, the restaurant will serve brunch every Sunday from 10h00 onwards. Those who attend Sunday brunch can expect live jazz, from 12h00 to 15h00, over and above the regular food offering. The Yard’s all-new brunch menu features a range of options designed to satisfy any and all tastes. The classic brunch menu will include croissants and Eggs Benedict, topped with The Yard’s Maltaise sauce – a blend of blood orange juice and classic Hollandaise sauce. Health nuts can choose between Bircher Muesli (mixed with berries, rooibos, cinnamon-spiced peaches and a crumbed nut brittle) and an egg-white soufflé omelette (made with brie cheese, wild mushrooms, avocado and baby spinach). Those with a sweet tooth are invited to try a selection of delectable options, including berry-and-liquorice and lemon meringue waffles. Bagel-lovers can enjoy a fresh bagel served with saffron chicken tikka and a side of turmeric mayo and mango chutney. The Yard also serves savoury waffles with a choice [...]

From September 2017, Mulberry & Prince Kitchen and Bar, situated at 12 Pepper Street in Cape Town just off the trendy Bree Street strip, will now be open every Sunday from 10h00 to 14h00 for brunch. The “lazy Sunday” menu pays homage to comfort food and the restaurant’s American influences. Since opening in April 2016, Mulberry & Prince has become celebrated as Cape Town’s favourite New York-style eatery. Co-owners and chefs Cornel Mostert and Cynthia Rivera met whilst studying at the Culinary Institute of America. The new Sunday menu features an array of American brunch classics. Don´t expect to find the typical brunch fare such as chia bowls and eggs benedict. These guys are serving up buttermilk biscuits smothered in housemade sausage gravy, chicken and waffles with Texas style hot sauce as well as brioche french toast infused with nutmeg and served with whipped honey butter and maple syrup. Brunch will not be complete without bubbles, of course. You can also enjoy a mimosa made with fresh naartjie juice and for the [...]
