Reed Exhibitions confirmed that Decorex Durban will be postponed to 2021. Dates for 2021 have been confirmed as 19-22 March 2021. The decision is a result of multiple discussions with the industry as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 escalation and upon advice of local and national health authorities. In addition, the multitude of national events in the décor, design and lifestyle calendar that are planned for the latter part of the year do not favour another consumer and trade show for the industry before 2021. In the interim, digital platforms are being explored to support and connect our partners during these unprecedented times. Exhibitors and Buyers are being contacted directly and we ask them to be patient with us as we do that. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by COVID-19 and we thank all our customers and partners for their support.

Reed Exhibitions confirmed that Decorex Cape Town, originally planned for 30 April – 3 May 2020, will not be taking place this year. New dates have been confirmed for 2021 and the show will run from 16 -20 June 2021 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The decision is a result of multiple discussions with the greater industry as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 escalation and upon the advice of local and national health authorities. Speaking of the decision not to run the show in 2020 once the COVID-19 outbreak has subsided, Sian Cullingworth, Portfolio Director at Decorex Africa, stated: “Decorex Africa seeks to act in the best interests of our industry and our society. While we understand the valuable role that Decorex Cape Town plays, the multitude of national events in the décor, design and lifestyle calendar that are planned for the latter part of the year do not favour another consumer and trade show for the industry before 2021. In the interim, digital platforms are being explored to support and connect our partners during these unprecedented times.” Decorex Cape Town exhibitors are being contacted directly to inform them of the cancellation. The news comes [...]

What are the hottest décor, interior design and lifestyle trends for 2020? Creative Director Anita Bloom reveals all in the Decorex Africa Trend Report 2020 – the definitive guide to what’s in vogue. After years of enjoying industrial, Nordic and navy design trends, be prepared for a shift towards something more eclectic – the coexistence or unification of different styles that reflect good taste and personality. The report provides a tantalising glimpse of what to expect from Decorex 2020 in Durban, Cape Town and Joburg, when designers and manufacturers showcase all the latest trends, concepts and products that will guide and inspire our interiors. The broad themes emphasised in the report will be featured in the Mobelli Furniture + Living Trend House – Urban Living by Design, Insta-Interiors and Trend Installation as well as pop-up restaurants, cafés and feature areas at each show.
