The distinctive menu takes its lead from the opulence of a traditional Indian high tea and will include delightful desserts inspired by the heritage of co-owner GP Singh who hails from Punjab, India. The high tea with flowers is the latest addition to the restaurant’s ever-expanding menu. Guests can expect attention to detail with each perfectly presented platter – not to mention the best traditional stovetop Masala Chai, along with a variety of other exotic teas. Both savoury and sweet options are generously served directly to your table for added comfort. The savoury options offer an elegant twist on popular Indian street food such as Chicken Kathi Wraps, Mumbai Style Sandwiches and Falafel Pita Pockets. For the sweet delicacies, expect the likes of Gulab Jamun (a traditional Indian sweetmeat)-flavoured cheesecake, Miso glazed éclairs, Saffron-spiced Carrot Cake and the house speciality, a Green Tea sponge cake served with coconut mousse. The High Tea menu launches on 1 May and will be available from Tuesdays – Sundays at R295 per person. Come May 2018 The Yard will also [...]
