		<description><![CDATA[The V&#38;A Waterfront is ready to surprise and delight visitors this festive season with a host of fun events and interactive activities spread across the neighbourhood from early December to mid-January 2023. The action takes place across the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, the Watershed, Makers Landing and the Silo District. The annual Joy from Africa to the World festive décor also returns for the fourth year, so visitors also will notice bright pops of colour, bold patterns, innovative activations and intricately detailed creations with not a snowman or piece of tinsel in sight. 		<description><![CDATA[Boasting break-out designer names and exclusive products and designs, Design Lab is a must-shop this summer season! Eight promising creative brands have been clustered together into a living retail “laboratory” – and just in time to meet the festive demand. This new incubator store, known as the Design Lab, has opened its doors at the bustling Watershed, within the iconic V&#38;A Waterfront precinct. &#160; Design Lab’s shelves boast handmade leather jewellery from Nondwe Nyathi, bespoke linen and homeware from Jenine Allchin, and work by several members of Our Workshop in Langa, supported by well-known local designer Heath Nash. The Our Workshop offering includes: custom-painted and embroidered clothing from Anele Nono; wall hangings by Malibongwe Nohesi; wooden bowls and platters by Ado Ludidi; upcycled e-waste jewellery and wall-mounted trophy heads by Sizwe Shumane; beaded candelabras, wire animals and trophy heads by Richard Mandongwe; and upcycled pendant lamps and wall hangings by Heath Nash. 		<description><![CDATA[The V&#38;A Waterfront’s Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) will host a re-creation of Michele Mathison’s internationally acclaimed 2013 Venice Bienalle installations, originally created for the Zimbabwe Pavilion at the Bienalle. Originally curated by Raphael Chikukwa, Chief Curator of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, the installations were acquired by the Zeitz Collection as a means of preserving them for Africa and its people, and will be open to the public from 7 November 2015 to 17 January 2015, Wednesday to Sunday, from midday to 8pm.
