The Rug Company to open in Cape Town, April 2015

The Rug Company, the leading name in contemporary handmade rugs, will open its doors to a new showroom in Cape Town this April.

Located in the heart of the city where the historical meets the modern, the showroom will be positioned on Bree Street, one of the city’s most dynamic streets.

Established by Christopher Sharp and his wife Suzanne in 1997, The Rug Company brings together traditional weaving techniques with contemporary design, exquisite quality and excellent customer service. The Rug Company works with some of the world’s most talented designers including Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Tom Dixon, to create collectable pieces that are beautiful, durable and unique.

The Rug Company understands the importance of service and the sales team not only have an expert understanding of the rugs but also how to best use and place them, and will happily bring the rugs for the client to see in situ before making a decision with its Approval Service. The Rug Company encourages its customers to explore the endless possibilities of rug design with its Bespoke Service. Any rug can be customised to suit special requirements, or an entirely new design can be commissioned, with the help of its experienced in-house design team.
